A Little Humor

A little boy goes to his father and asks "Daddy, how was I born?" The father answers, "Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your Mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said:

"You've got Male!"

(I told you all I'd be up until midnight if I had my way!! Good thing tomorrow's a holiday!)

To my mothers :-)

Hello mom(s)!!! I know you all read my Xanga and will surely get the post which will transfer you over to this site for updates from now on, so I just wanted to let you know that I THINK you can actually comment on these posts without signing up for a blogger account. I tweaked my "settings" so that you don't have to be a member to comment....so one or all of you should try it....that's a hint. ;-)

Fact #3 (for everyone else): I was adopted as a baby, so I am lucky enough to have three mothers. One who gave me the precious gift of life, one who raised me and who I call Mom, and most recently the one who became my mother through friendship and by my marriage to her "little guy". And I love each of them in a different way for their part in making me who I am. :-)

A much loved,
~Abigail~

P.S. The commenting thing really applies to any and all of my friends...if you want to comment, go ahead!! :-)

Buy 1 Get 1 FREE!!!

I LOVE a good bargain. On the way home from work I stopped at Walgreens because there was a good ad in the Sunday paper and they had several items for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. I got four packs of batteries (16 batteries in each package, two AA and two AAA packs), two bottles of Cover Girl foundation and two Cover Girl powder cosmetic thingys (what do you call those??), and two Scunci "no-stick" hair tie packs (clearance--75 cents each!!) and only paid $36!!!! The lady at the check-out had two Cover Girl manufacturer coupons so I got an extra $2 off as well! All that would have normally cost me almost $75!!! I am SO happy!! And now I have a stockpile of batteries and makeup which will probably last me over six months. Yay!! *happy sigh*

The hubby and I are ordering pizza for dinner from "Marcos", our new favorite pizza place. They're cheap and SOOO delicious (better than Pizza Hut or Papa Johns!). Can't beat that!

Fact #2 about me: my favorite pizza toppings are pepperoni, black olive and bacon. I do NOT like onion or pinneapple (are there 2 n's in pinneapple??). I also love to have ranch dressing with my pizza, or that garlic cream sauce from Papa Johns when we do order from them. MMmmm.

Happy me. :-D

Not by Choice

I think I will devote my first several posts to listing and explaining facts about myself. A new blog should mean a new start, even though I wish I could transfer all of my Xanga entries onto Blogger (anyone know if that's possible?). Oh well.

Fact #1: I am not a morning person, but because of school and work I have become one. Not by choice mind you (thus the title of this entry). It has gotten eaiser over the last year and a half, but it still is not easy going to bed early-ish and getting up sometimes before 5am (for class and clinicals)--I have to drive all the way out to Glendale to go to school... Trust me, I am tired and ready to go to bed by 9pm, but if my body had its way I'd be up until 12 or 1am and sleep until 9. This will all likely change again once I graduate in May as I will proabably be working 12hr night shifts (7p-7a). My body will be so confused!! Lol.

Must get ready for work!
