More Savings

Today I used The Grocery Game for the 2nd time, and my percentage of savings was even higher than last time! I have learned, though, that if I want to get everything on my list I need to go before Tuesday. The sales all end on Tuesday at midnight, so several of the things on my list were completely gone, and I didn't feel like getting a raincheck for several random products. Too much of a pain. So maybe I'll try to go on either Sunday or Monday from now on...but usually I am busy one or both of those days so it may not work...we'll see.

I went to Safeway first and spent $22.07 and saved $39.04 for a 66% savings (which is exactly the percentage I saved last time). Then I went to Frys and spent $27.82 and saved $64.21 for a 71% savings (11% more than last time!). And once again it only took me 1 hour to pull up the grocery lists online, select what I wanted and print it and then clip all my coupons for both stores. Really easy and time efficient. And it earned me a grand total savings of $103.25 for the day. I am happy. :-D

Now on to studying...Oh, and for the record, I feel SOOO much better today. My stomach is still in a knot from yesterday, but no more fever, chills, or aches. Yay!
