19 days...

Aaaaand, now we're in the teens for the due date countdown! And yes I know it's approximate. She is allowed to be late. Although, if she's anything like her mommy she'll be just a little early** or right on time. If she's late, I'm blaming Daddy...

(Just wanted to clarify that whenever I use the words "early" or "late" from here on out it's just in relation to "before" or "after" my due date. She's full-term now, and is considered "on time" anytime between 37 and 42 weeks.)

Just a little quirk about me: I always have to be at least 10 minutes early when going somewhere in order to consider myself "on time". If I'm technically on time, I already feel late. Scott on the other hand is perfectly fine being exactly on time or a little bit late. This irritates me to no end!!! This is also kinda funny when you consider when we were both born: I was 5 weeks early (although it wasn't due to pre-term labor, my birthmom had PIH), and Scott was 1 day late. Coincidence? Hmmmm...

So. Dr's appt today was uneventful (the best kind!). My blood pressure was a tiny bit high at first, but normal upon re-check. And although Scott and I would like to have a labor-day-weekend baby, it appears that she is quite comfortable where she's at and is in no hurry to come out. No progress on that front...which means all the crazy braxton hicks contractions I've been having the past several weeks have done NOTHING. Nada. Zilch. Zero. NOT cool. They've started lasting longer too...at least every 5 minutes for several hours at a time instead of just a couple hours. But apparently my body is immune. :::rolls eyes::: Oh well, I can't be too impatient yet, I am still only 37 weeks.

Next Tuesday we'll have another ultrasound (the last one!!) to see how big she's measuring. I have a feeling it's going to estimate at least 9lbs, probaby 10. But I really REALLY don't think she's going to be overly huge. And my Dr said today that she'll probably be in the 8lb range...which is what I've been thinking all along. So hopefully both mother's instinct (if that exists, lol) and Dr's prediction from years of experience is right!

We basically have everything ready...just need to install the carseat bases into our cars...Scott's car at the very least, since that's the one she'll be coming home in. I guess we'll see if I remember what I'm doing from my carseat certification class a couple years ago! I'm no longer certified, it expired earlier this year, but hopefully I remember how to do it! :-P

Okay, I'm off to bed soonish. I plan to make tomorrow a very productive cleaning day. :-)

Oh, and guess what...tomorrow is finally SEPTEMBER!!!! Two more hours... ::::huge grins::::
